After a conversation I had with a classmate, it’s important to note:
No one’s criticizing them for what they did right. There are a lot of things they might’ve done right. I wasn’t there. Neither were a lot of people. They probably, initially, followed standard protocol.
We’re criticizing them on their racism and their overreaction. The slurs. The humiliation. Their total disrespect.
There were a lot of things happening that shouldn’t have been even considered last Saturday morning, and that’s the issue. When it’s this bad, you don’t celebrate what they did right.
Stay safe, stay inside, don’t open the door for ANYONE. I’m worried sick for all of you. Please. Stay. Safe.
